Welcome to 2017 and a new Season!
You may already know that for the last 6 years, I have been strategically giving back to those who are less fortunate through my annual birthday parties. It happened after my first trip to Ghana and I saw the need to do more than I was already doing, and fell in love with the children there.
In 2016, I decided to complete an Executive Management Certficate Program at Georgetown University to ensure that I had the proper tools (on paper) to legitimize my own nonprofit. You see, after working as a director for a DC nonprofit for close to a decade, and prior to that working for around 15 years in the private sector, I KNOW what I want my future to look like. The Give Black Foundation, Inc. received nonprofit papers and certification in 2016 and I am ready to roll into 2017 with renewed purpose.
I have been giving back since I was a very little girl and now that I have grown and experienced so much, and have been blessed, I intend to spend the next at least half of my life giving back to bLacks in the African diaspora with purpose.
Please join me on this journey by making a donation to support the startup of this business. Please share the great things you know about me and my works with others so they too can support. Please understand that I am trying to raise at least $10,000 by June 30, 2017 in startup funding so every $ counts. All donations are tax deductible so please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to get our Tax ID code.
Please consider sharing the evening of February 25, 2017 with me to learn more about myFoundation and plans for 2017 and also support our first mission to Jamaica in May.
